Is it true they don't wear shoes here?

So, after weeks of worry, I'm finally employed. The Blue Grass Trust has decided to give me a go at a full time position so it looks like I'll be hanging around Lexington indefinitely. I like this city, so I'm glad to stay, and I'm very excited about my new job. Look out heartless developers! Stand guard bulldozer drivers! Anyway, I was looking forward to going home and seeing my family and everybody. It's hard being way out here by myself, especially now that Amanda is leaving (tomorrow!!) But a girl's gotta make her way in the world, right? I never would have guessed "my way" would pass through Kentucky. Well, raise a bourbon brew to the Wildcats and here goes nothin'....

Lobster Fondue

So today my office took Amanda to lunch for her Birthday/Voluntarily getting as far away from Kentucky as possible Celebration. We went to our favorite Chinese place and I have a few quandaries. See, I like to eat cows and pigs and chickens. I find them to be delicious. Why, when you could have such deliciousness, would one choose to eat raw fish. Not only that, but raw fish wrapped in seaweed which, by the way, even the ocean pukes up. And I also didn't understand the crab meat and cream cheese deep fried pouch. Why not try some lobster dipped in chocolate? Mmmm. Goooood.

I do enjoy those fortune cookies though. But if they were really fortunate, they would be filled with folded up money rather than generic observations. Just a suggestion.
